Kayleah Wilson found dead


On March 28, 2010, 12 year old Kayleah Wilson left her home to walk to a friend's birthday party. That was the last time her mother saw her. Police know that she got as far as the mall. She was caught on a security camera. After that, no one knows what happened. Kayleah's mother, April Wilson, never gave up hope. No one believed that she ran away, but there was not evidence of foul play either.

Well, now there is. Yesterday, Kayleah's body was found in a drainage ditch in three feet of water. She was naked. Today, the FBI has confirmed that the body is Kayleah. She was identified through dental records. Authorities believe that Kayleah was murdered.

Kayleah would have turned 13 on June 25th. Family and friends say that she was an outgoing girl. According to her family, Kayleah liked to hang out at Centennial Park Library, the Greeley Mall, Walmart, Hastings Music Store, and High Grounds Youth Center. She was in sixth grade at Brentwood Middle School. She left behind her mother, April, her seventeen year old brother, Mackenzie, and other family and friends.
